A collection of five residences on the edge of Sydney Harbour, where a historic garden mansion and new contemporary wings are brought together as one considered whole. The mansion carries the depth, craft and memory of its era; the new wings respond with restraint, generous proportion, and a quiet confidence of their own.
The idea is grounded in BY SOMA’s belief that design should nurture wellbeing. Natural light is drawn deep into each residence, rooms open to garden and harbour, and a palette of stone, timber and soft, honest finishes connects daily life to the landscape around it.
